Each tool below queries iNaturalist's live taxonomy and GloBI's aggregated host-interaction records directly in your browser — nothing here is a static, curated list. Single-clade groups (like rust fungi or Lepidoptera as a whole) query one taxon tree; polyphyletic groups that share a name or lifestyle but not ancestry (like mildew, leafminers, gall makers, or pollinators) query several taxon trees in parallel and label every result with which lineage it came from. Mildew is the most extreme case of this in the whole series: powdery mildew and downy mildew aren't even in the same kingdom. Every tool supports searching by species, by host, or testing one specific pairing against GloBI directly.
Fungi (and fungus-like oomycetes)
Powdery mildew (true fungi) & downy mildew (oomycetes) — same name, different kingdoms.
Open →Rust species and their often two-host (aecial + telial) life cycles.
Open →Species that replace plant reproductive tissue with sooty black spore masses.
Open →Insects
Host-specific feeders and the main vector family for plant viruses.
Open →Xylem-feeding leafhoppers — the vector family for Xylella fastidiosa.
Open →Armored, immobile, fused-in-place feeders — extremely host specific.
Open →Agromyzidae, Gracillariidae, Nepticulidae, Bucculatricidae — merged and labeled by lineage.
Open →Cynipidae, Cecidomyiidae, Adelgidae, Eriosomatinae — merged and labeled by lineage.
Open →The largest single tree in this series — ~180,000 species, larval host plants.
Open →Bees, hoverflies, bee flies, hawk moths — flowers visited, not larval hosts.
